Precision Grinding of Complex Shapes

In utilizing in-feed grinding, the ground surface does not need to be a right circular cylinder and this allows for complex shapes to be made. The grinding wheel can be made to accommodate the part and once the modified wheel is in place, the grinding wheel is fed in radially. However, to do the custom set up for this type of grinding, it does not have the same high feed rate as Thru-Feeding.
